Welcome to my first-ever Tristar review! The one I have today is a compact 12 gauge with a 24-inch barrel. I believe this is supposed to be a gun that would be good for transitioning kids or smaller framed shooters into a 12 gauge if they've been using a 20 or something smaller. My requirements were for a left-handed semi-auto action, with 3" shell capability, and a synthetic stock.Weight and balance is as expected, very light, and really good balance, the 28 comes to shoulder extremely fast and right on target. With 28 inch barrels the shotgun doesn't look dinky, and really adds to the balance, I think it looks right with the longer than say, 26 inch barrels.
