We ate with friends at a Full Moon BBQ in Opelika last night; therefore we may be a bit jaded. Brunswick stew very good with okra and lima beans but a bit runny, chipped pork good, 5 draft beer selections, giant very good onion rings, thick fries, potato salad good, same slaw, etc., world-famous cookies were just okay. Full Moon BBQ is one of my favorite barbeque restaurants in Birmingham. I have visited the Hoover and Southside restaurants as well as the 280 restaurant. Their cole slaw is to die for. I have even ordered it to share at parties. I also like their baked beans. When I go, I order the sliced pork plate (inside and out). Full Moon BBQ. Come here for tasty ribs, nacho chips and fried green tomatoes if you are hungry. Good chocolate pie is among the dishes to be tried at this bbq. The gracious staff welcomes visitors all year round.
